Ultimaker material partners - Igus

Igus® develops wear-resistant, high-performance polymers known as motion plastics®. Its materials help reduce costs by lowering energy consumption in production and operation, and eliminating the use of lubricants.

Igus’ iglidur® I150 Tribofilament, for example, is developed for use as bearing material and for wear parts. Its ease of use and high abrasion resistance make it a go-to material for applications with movement and friction. It will be printed live at Formnext, on an Ultimaker S5 3D printer. For more information on Igus GmbH and the cooperation with Ultimaker, you can listen to this episode of our Talking Additive podcast to get to know Igus’ vision on Motion Plastics 3D filaments. At booth #12.1 E61, demonstrations will be given on the Ultimaker S5. Igus is also displaying a 3D printed application guide rail, which is printed in two materials, and highly wear-resistant.
