We’re proud of our team at Ultimaker – and we know that without their unique skills and talents, our company wouldn’t be where it is today. Our Inside Ultimaker series gives you the chance to hear from one of our team members, and find out more about what it’s like to work with us.
In order for a company to succeed, it needs to have a tight handle on its finances. Thankfully, Ultimaker has Namirah ter Haar as Finance Administrator, and she’s absolutely indispensable in her role. Namirah has been with us for three and a half years, and is in charge of the invoice processing workflow, not to mention liaising with colleagues over many different issues.
She’s also an invaluable ally of the purchasing department, and when it’s time for the invoices to be completed, there’s only one woman up to the task – you guessed it, Namirah!
Before working for Ultimaker
Prior to joining Ultimaker, Namirah worked as an administrator for a small admin and tax office; a role that she found really enjoyable. During her time there, she mastered many of the key skills she now employs in her current role with Ultimaker.
Despite having thrived in her previous job, she relishes the challenge of working with Ultimaker and loves the creative freedom that the role offers. She also tells us that it’s great to work with all her colleagues.
We asked Namirah how she thought the 3D printing industry would evolve over the next five to 10 years. She responded: “I think, or maybe just hope, that huge steps will be made in the field of medicine, with 3D printing offering great innovation and advantages. I think we’ll all benefit from that the most.”
When Namirah’s not busy at work, she likes to spend time with her children, and also her grandmother. She’s a really social person and loves hanging out with friends, drinking wine, and tucking into some sweets (particularly Harlekijntjes, a Dutch licorice). Namirah’s also a keen reader, and when she’s looking for a bit of peace and quiet, likes to curl up with a good book.
