Ultimaker at 3D Printshow New York

We were present at the first 3D Printshow in London and loved it. Of course we couldn't miss out on the fun at the first 3D Printshow in New York!

The show would kick off with a fashion show fully loaded with 3D printed items and wearables.

A couple of months before the fashion show was scheduled we got in touch with 2 amazing designers from XYZ Workshop, Kae & Elena. We started talking and soon a collaboration formed from which the outcome would be shine in the fashion show.

And boy, did it shine! Right after the fashion show the first headlines appeared:

• Make Magazine - Ultimaker steals the show
• Fabaloo - The Ultimate Ultimaker 3D Print
• 3D Printshow - Project spotlight XYZ Workshop & Ultimaker

The files for the dress are available online for free at youmagine so everyone can print their own fashionable dress.

Ultimaker and XYZ workshop feel that this is a chance to share some of the expertise we have and give back to the community. "Much like how we owe a lot on the advances of 3d printing to the open sourced community that helped develop it to the industry we know today, there is an opportunity for us to start and pioneer a movement of open-sourced fashion. We want to make fashion open source." said Kae from XYZ Workshop. That is also why we decided to share it with our community on YouMagine.

Exhibition Days.

The next day would be the start of the show inviting Press & Industry, Business & Design and last but not least a public day. It was an exciting show for us as Ultimaker, because we revealed our brand new booth design. The response to our booth was amazing from the people who attended.

During the entire show we had a lot of guests over at our booth talking about the Ultimaker Original, Ultimaker 2 and Ultimaker's vision. We met a lot of interesting people and even started some new collaborations. You will learn more about this soon!
