Installing Olsson Block
The Olsson block allows for quick and easy nozzle changes, so different nozzle sizes can be selected to suit each project. A larger nozzle is suitable for faster printing, while a smaller nozzle can be used to create more detailed prints. The provided Olsson block comes with 4 nozzles in various sizes (0.25mm, 0.40mm, 0.60mm and 0.80mm), a screwdriver and a socket. In addition to reading our detailed support text guide there is an installation guide video available:
Note: Use of a torque wrench with the socket is not required, but highly recommended to install nozzles without over-tightening. If a torque wrench is available for use with the socket during installation, please set it to a force between 1 and 1.5Nm. Take care not to set the force higher than 2Nm, as the nozzle could possibly break off inside the block.
If a torque wrench is not available, download a specially designed torque wrench model that can be 3D printed prior to installing the Olsson block. It can be found here. Take care to follow the included printing instructions, especially concerning the 100% infill, or the wrench may fail during use. Be careful not to over-use the 3D printed wrench, as it is not intended as a permanent replacement for a torque wrench.
