Enjoy first-time right results with Ultimaker Cura 4.12 beta<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n

Ultimaker Cura 4.12 beta is here. And it\u2019s packed with quality improvements for print profiles that increase first-time-right results and provide a polished experience \u2013 especially if you are using the Ultimaker platform. <\/p>\n

We\u2019re very excited about this beta release of Ultimaker Cura, as it\u2019s the result of hours of print process testing and optimizations by our talented and passionate materials and software engineers.<\/p><\/div>\n

Additionally, several new features \u2013\u202fsuch as a special new infill type \u2013 further enhance the Ultimaker Cura experience. Plus, security improvements and smaller-scale features add a cherry atop the 3D printed pie. Read on for more details.<\/p>\n

Improved top surface quality<\/h2><\/section>\n

For Ultimaker Cura 4.12, we\u2019ve made adjustments throughout print profiles and tweaked how we use the new Monotonic ordering setting. This removes occasional scarring on models and improves top surface quality by default \u2013\u202fgetting you even closer to your intended result.<\/p>\n

Note: These changes exclude TPU-95A profiles and Draft Intent profiles.<\/i><\/p>\n

Our materials and software engineers have also looked at horizontal print quality. They processed several improvements through optimizations in print profiles and implemented a bug fix. These add up to a reduction of ringing, improving resolution and overall print quality.<\/p>\n

Get visual with lightning infill<\/h2><\/section>\n

Lightning infill gets denser as you get closer to the top of the model<\/div><\/div>\n

Through more efficient infill positioning, a new lightning infill setting enables you to print high-quality top layers while using less material and increasing your production speed. It\u2019s an ideal setting for visual models, as reduced material usage will result in a reduction in part strength.<\/p>\n
