Specialized for engineering applications.
High-performance and certified materials
Over 300 materials to choose from.
From polymers to composites to metals.
Ultrafuse® Support Layer filament developed to be Support Material for BASF Ultrafuse 316L and 17-4PH. When printed between support and the object, it creates a barrier during sintering and facilitates the separation of support from the metal part. Ultrafuse® Support Layer is not developed to print stand-alone parts and should be printed as a layer attached to the support structures in dual extrusion prints.
Material properties
– Metal-based
– Support material
Usable parts to test a concept or process
Because the design needs to cater to a range of outlet requirements (power, pressure, outflow rate, temperature, etc.) the blades can end up being difficult to manufacture using other techniques. Creating this part with traditional subtractive manufacturing, for example, would have required a 5-axis CNC machine.
