DSM Additive Manufacturing – now Covestro – aims to unlock the full potential of additive manufacturing enabling more efficient and sustainable production methods.
Its Novamid® ID1030 CF10 (a DSM brand) can print parts with properties close to what is achievable through injection molding – at the same speed as unreinforced plastics. It is a carbon-fiber-filled PA6/66 copolymer filament for 3D printing durable strong, stiff, and tough structural parts with high dimensional stability.
For more information on DSM/Covestro and its cooperation with Ultimaker, you can listen to this episode of Talking Additive. At Formnext booth #12.1 C11, a 3D printed maintenance cover suited for serial production from Andritz Kaiser will be displayed as well as a hook that the Dutch Ministry of Defence used to prove the strength of DSM/Covestro’s Novamid 1030 CF, which was printed using the Ultimaker Platform.
