I am a physics professor at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. I and my students have been working on creating objects to help students with visual disabilities learn physics. The objects we have created are universally accessible so that all students can gain insight into various physics topics. Teachers and students who find a tactile learning object useful for their instruction can download and print objects of interest. The most current set of objects is at:
Location Whitewater, United States
Skills CAD modeling, 3D modeling, Electronics, 3D printing, Robotics, Teaching
Products Printrbot Metal Plus, Dremel Idea Builder, OpenSCAD, MatLAB, Mathematica, AutoCAD.
Products info We primarily use a Pintrbot Metal Plus for printing objects, though we also have access to a Dremel Idea Builder. Our design software has recently focused on OpenSCAD but we have also created objects with MatLAB, AutoCAD and Mathematica.
